EThekwini Municipality has scooped five Diamond Arrow Awards at the prestigious annual PMR.africa KwaZulu-Natal Province Business Excellence Awards Ceremony that took place 17 July at the Southern Sun Elangeni Hotel.
eThekwini was nominated as being the highest rated municipality in all five categories, which are:
- Municipalities doing the most for social upliftment in KwaZulu-Natal,
- Municipalities doing the most for job creation in KwaZulu-Natal,
- Municipalities doing the most to attract tourism to KwaZulu-Natal,
- Institutions doing the most to attract foreign/international investment to KwaZulu-Natal,
- Institutions doing the most to attract local investment in KwaZulu-Natal.
eThekwini Municipality Mayor, Councillor Cyril Xaba, received the awards on behalf of the City and said that he was greatly encouraged and pleased that the City’s renewed efforts to improve in key performance areas were being recognised.
PMR.africa, a division of CJ Hattingh Sons, is a leading South African consultancy and research company. The annual awards event is designed to augment competitiveness, enhance excellence and set benchmarks in the industry.
